How not, the day when Indonesia commemorates the struggle of the predecessor heroes, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) is used to export aircraft for its work to Thailand. Quoted from the official page of PTDI, the NC212i aircraft was an order from the Thai Ministry of Agriculture. The delivery process itself is carried out from PTDI's Hangar Delivery Center to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The plane is planned to arrive on Monday 11 November 2019 local time.
Delivery of aircraft to Thailand, was carried out by Capt Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Capt Billy Yudha Firmansyah as Copilot. The NC212i plane was flown from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung, West Java to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.
"Right after the transit in Batam, NC212i will continue its journey to Hat Yai International Airport, Thailand, the southern side near Malaysia, and will land at its final destination, Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand," PTDI Trade Director, Ade Yuyu Wahyuna, quoted from the official PTDI website.
Today's airplane delivery is the second delivery, after earlier on October 22, 2019, the first NC212i aircraft had been sent to Thailand.
With the delivery of all aircraft ordered, meaning PTDI successfully completed orders a month earlier than the contract schedule due in December 2019.
The signing of the procurement contract for the two NC212i aircraft was carried out on March 17, 2019, between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Venture (Thailand) Co., Ltd. At present, PTDI has recorded 443 aircraft, both fixed wing and rotary wing.
PTDI has produced around 115 NC212 aircraft, from a total of 585 NC212 series aircraft population in the world. The prospect of the aircraft industry currently has a sizeable market share.
"The need for NC212i aircraft for the next 10 years in the world is 255 units and PTDI's future expansion plans are in the Asia Pacific and Africa," Ade said.
Not only that, Ade also said that PTDI would increase NC212i's production capacity, which was originally 4 aircraft per year, to 6 aircraft per year.
"Capacity development will begin in 2020, to meet the NC212i target for the next 10 years," Ade added. (SN)
